Water damage is two jobs. First someone stops the water and dries the space: a plumber for a pipe, a roofer for the roof, a water mitigation company when a lot of material got soaked. Then someone rebuilds what was ruined. The second job is ours.
We cut out drywall that went soft, look at the framing behind it, replace wet insulation and close the wall back up. Baseboards that swelled come off and new ones go on. Then texture, primer and paint, so the room reads as one surface again.
If an insurance claim is involved, you get a written estimate with photos of the damage to send your adjuster.

Questions people ask
Do you do water extraction or drying?
No. For standing water or soaked walls, call a water mitigation company first; they bring the drying equipment. When the space is dry, we take over the repairs.
How do I know the wall is dry enough to close?
We won't close up a wall that's still damp. If there's doubt, we open it further and let it dry first, because drywall over wet framing grows mold.
Can you match the rest of the ceiling?
In most rooms, yes. Texture and old paint are the tricky part; sometimes repainting the whole ceiling is what makes the patch disappear.
Will my insurance cover it?
That depends on your policy and your adjuster. What we can do is give you a written estimate, with photos of the damage, to send them.
