A kitchen remodel is a sequence: demo, repairs to the walls and floor, cabinets set level, counters templated and installed, backsplash, fixtures, paint. The order matters because each step builds on the surface the last one left.

We do the carpentry, tile and finish work ourselves and schedule the rest. Butcher block tops we install; stone and quartz are usually templated and installed by a fabrication shop once the cabinets are set. Plumbing and electrical changes that need a permit go through our licensed partner, Bay Builder Inc.

Not every kitchen needs a remodel. Cabinet doors that sag, drawers that stick, a cracked grout line in the backsplash or a dripping faucet are one-visit repairs.

Questions people ask

How long does a kitchen remodel take?

Plan on several weeks for a full remodel, much of it waiting on cabinets and counters. We sequence the work so the kitchen is out of service for as little time as possible.

Can you paint my cabinets instead of replacing them?

Yes, if the boxes are solid. We clean, sand, prime and paint the doors and frames, and swap hinges or pulls if you want a fresher look.

Do you install countertops?

Butcher block, yes. Stone and quartz are templated and installed by a fabrication shop; we get the cabinets ready and finish the backsplash and fixtures after.

Do I need a permit for a kitchen remodel?

Cosmetic work in the same layout, like cabinets, counters and backsplash, often doesn't. Moving the sink, gas or electrical does, and that work is contracted through Bay Builder Inc.
