Bathrooms fail at the joints first. Caulk shrinks, grout cracks and water finds the gap between the tub and the wall. Caught early, that's a re-caulk and a re-grout. Caught late, it's soft drywall behind the tile and a bigger job.

Remodels follow the same logic from the other end. A solid wall and real waterproofing behind the tile matter more than the tile you pick. We demo down to what's sound, fix what's rotten, waterproof, then tile, set the vanity and fixtures, and paint.

Moving plumbing, adding circuits or changing the layout needs a permit. That work is contracted through our licensed partner, Bay Builder Inc (CSLB #1145538).

How long does a bathroom remodel take?

It depends on the size and on what's behind the tile. A straightforward hall bath is usually a few weeks. You get a schedule with the estimate, and if demolition turns up a problem you hear about it that day.

Do I need a permit?

Replacing finishes in the same place, like tile, a vanity or a toilet, often doesn't. Moving plumbing, changing the layout or adding electrical does. Permitted work is contracted through Bay Builder Inc, a licensed general contractor.

Can you fix a leaking shower without redoing it?

Often, yes. Many leaks come from failed caulk or grout at the corners and at the base. We clear out the old joints, re-seal them and check for soft spots that point to bigger damage.

Do you help choose tile and fixtures?

Yes. We'll tell you what works for the space and the budget. You can buy the materials yourself or have us source them.

Can I use the shower during a repair?

During a remodel, no. After a re-caulk, the shower is usually back in use once the caulk cures, about a day.
