Most shower leaks are not a burst pipe. Water gets out through cracked grout, caulk that let go at the corners, a loose tile, or a shower door that sprays past its seal, and it soaks into the wall or drips onto the ceiling below. In a condo, that ceiling is often your neighbor's.
We start by finding the path. A simple water test on the walls, the floor and the door tells us whether it is the surface or something behind it. Then we fix the cause first: regrout, recaulk, reset or replace tiles, reseal the door. After that we repair the drywall, ceiling and paint the leak already damaged, so you are not calling three trades.
If the leak is in the valve or the supply lines behind the wall, or the shower needs to be rebuilt, that work goes to a licensed partner and is contracted through Bay Builder Inc (CSLB #1145538), so the paperwork matches the job.

Questions people ask
How do I know where my shower is leaking?
Usually you don't, and that's normal. We test the walls, the floor and the door one at a time with water and watch where it shows up. Grout, caulk and the door are the most common culprits, and they are the cheapest to fix.
There's a stain on the ceiling below the shower. Can you fix both?
Yes. We fix the leak first, let the area dry, then replace the damaged drywall, match the texture and repaint, so the ceiling looks like nothing happened.
Do I need to redo the whole shower?
Most of the time, no. Regrouting, recaulking and replacing a few tiles stops most leaks for a fraction of a remodel. If the shower pan or the wall behind the tile has failed, we show you and tell you before anything starts.
