Good tile work is mostly invisible: flat floors, straight grout lines, cuts that land where your eye doesn't go. What you can't see matters more, the backer board, the waterproofing and the slope that sends shower water to the drain.
In the photo of the tub surround, the blue tape isn't decoration. It holds the tiles in place while the thinset cures, so nothing slides out of line overnight.
For repairs we match what's there. A cracked tile gets cut out and replaced, crumbling grout gets raked out and redone, and every inside corner gets flexible caulk instead of grout.

Questions people ask
Can you replace just one cracked tile?
Yes, if we can find a match. Leftover tiles from the original job are the best case; otherwise we look for the closest match and tell you honestly how close it is.
Should I re-grout or re-tile my shower?
If the tiles are sound and the wall behind them is solid, re-grouting and re-caulking is enough. If tiles are loose or the wall feels soft, water is already behind them and re-tiling is the real fix.
How long before I can use a new shower?
Grout and caulk need time to cure. Plan on the time the product calls for, typically one to three days, before the first shower.
Do you install large-format tile?
Yes. Large tiles need a flatter floor, so we check it and level it first, and that prep is part of the estimate.
