San Francisco bathroom remodels and DBI permits
DBI's rule is plain: you need a permit before renovating and replacing kitchen or bath fixtures. The online route is narrow, open only to B-license contractors registered with the City, for work that needs no plans in an R-3 building that isn't historical and has no active complaints. Everything else goes through an over-the-counter or in-house review permit, and floor coverings in bathrooms are not on the no-permit list.
When a repair will do, we start there: raking out failed grout, resealing the joints at the tub and corners, checking for soft spots. A remodel, with its permit, is contracted through our licensed partner Bay Builder Inc. We keep loud work between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., the window San Francisco's noise code leaves for construction without a night permit.

Yes. San Francisco is about 12 road miles from our base in San Bruno, roughly 19 minutes without traffic. We work all over town, from Sunset/Parkside to Visitacion Valley.
Who issues permits in San Francisco?

When can noisy work happen in San Francisco?
